ATS Commission on Accrediting to Visit Lexington Theological Seminary for Comprehensive Evaluation
Lexington, KY — March 9–12, 2026 — Lexington Theological Seminary will host a delegation from the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) Commission on Accrediting for a comprehensive evaluation visit as part of the Seminary’s reaffirmation of accreditation process. This evaluation is conducted to verify that LTS meets all applicable Commission Standards of Accreditation and continues to demonstrate educational quality, institutional integrity, and mission fulfillment.
As part of the evaluation process, ATS invites members of the public to submit comments regarding how well Lexington Theological Seminary meets accreditation standards and/or generally demonstrates overall educational quality. Comments must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the visit and may be sent:

Following the onsite review, the ATS Commission on Accrediting will consider Lexington Theological Seminary’s reaffirmation of accreditation at its June 2026 meeting.
Lexington Theological Seminary is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools and offers accredited theological and ministry degrees through its competency-based, online and hybrid format. Accreditation signifies that LTS meets rigorous standards of academic quality, financial stability, and student learning outcomes appropriate to theological education.
