Frequently Asked Questions

How do online courses compare to traditional in-person courses?

Online courses are more flexible than traditional in-person classes. Students are free to work at their own pace, taking breaks or asking for assistance where needed. Online courses also tend to be more affordable since they do not require students to relocate for their education.

Are the courses taught live online or are they pre-recorded?

Most courses are pre-recorded with an online learning classroom interaction component.

Can I start anytime?

For most programs, yes! LTS is an attractive seminary to many because our rolling admission policy means students can begin their education whenever they are ready. Only our DMin and MTS in Latinx Ministry Programs have set start dates.

Can I take some of my classes in-person and others online?

Yes. Most of our programs are available 100% online, but short-term, on-campus intensives are available twice per year for students who wish to fulfill some of their course requirements in person.

What kind of computer and internet access do I need?

Students need a computer with a camera, headphones, access to a video recorder (not a cell phone) and enough internet speed to stream and upload videos.
