Lexington Theological Seminary is excited to share that Rev. Dr. Michael L. Zachary Sr. has joined our staff part-time as the Coordinator for the Pathways for Tomorrow Initiative and Student Services IT Associate.

Dr. Zachary received his DMin from LTS this year. He earned his Master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Pastoral Studies with a minor in Youth Ministry from Southwestern College in Winnfield, KS. In addition to his work at LTS, Dr. Zachary currently serves as the senior pastor of Centerville Missionary Baptist Church in Paris, KY. He also serves as the President of the Consolidated Baptist District Educational Convention and as 1st Vice President of the Ministers and Messengers Auxiliary of the General Association of Baptists in Kentucky. He is the author of a book and workbook entitled From Soil to Soul: The Impact of Community Gardens on Food Insecurity, a project that grew from his DMin project.

Dr. Zachary is a native of Opelousas, LA. He is married to the former Elma J. Kinnerson and they have four children: Michael Jr., Anaiya, Malaya, and Alijah.
