The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act set aside funds for institutions of higher education to provide assistance to students facing financial challenges due to COVID-19 pandemic. Lexington Theological Seminary was awarded $7,748 through the CARES ACT. The Seminary has disbursed $7,200 (93%) of the total award directly to students. All students who submitted a FAFSA received a disbursement. Information was sent directly to students. As a result of the Coronavirus Relief Aid, Relief and Security known as the CARES Act, Lexington Theological Seminary students were able apply for financial assistance through the HEERF Program.
An acknowledgement that the institution signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution has used, or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
Lexington Theological Seminary signed and submitted the certification and agreement to the federal Dept. of Education on July 16, 2020 to receive funds under HEERF. LTS has set aside 93% of the funds for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students upon receipt of the funds.

Lexington Theological Seminary has received approval for $7,748 and is setting aside $7,200 (93%) of the funds for direct student relief upon receipt.

Lexington Theological Seminary has not yet distributed funds to students as it has not been able to gain access to the funds.
