Lexington Theological Seminary has called Rev. Stephanie McLemore as the new Vice President for Advancement.
Rev. McLemore is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) who brings two decades of higher education leadership and extensive fundraising experience to LTS. After completing divinity school at the University of Chicago, she served local congregations before moving to Virginia to serve as Associate Regional Minister for the Christian Church in Virginia. She then served as Associate Dean of Wellness, Director of Church Relations, and Chaplain at the University of Lynchburg. Most recently, Rev. McLemore worked as the Chaplain at Denison University in Granville, OH, and developed annual fund materials for the National Benevolent Association with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Rev. McLemore finds her calling in building relationships and community. Inclusivity, hospitality, and gratitude are central to her ministry. She believes fundraising at LTS is a ministry of gratitude — giving to God’s vision out of gratitude for the blessings we have in our own lives. At LTS, we support the ministry of preparing clergy through high-quality theological education, spiritual formation, and innovative models of service.
Rev. McLemore and her family, which includes two teenage daughters, her mother, the family mutt, and the pet tarantula, will move to Lexington this spring.
“We look forward to her leadership,” said LTS President Dr.Charisse L. Gillett.
